Our History
Founded in 2018, Werq was born from a passion for impactful leadership and a vision to influence the professional landscape for the better. From its inception, Werq has been on a mission to create ripples of positive impact, offering executive coaching, team performance enhancement, strategic planning, and organizational excellence-focused services that redefine what it means to thrive as a leader.

Founder & CEO
An experienced executive leader and a Certified Executive Coach, Ilana Zivkovich's vision for Werq is toenable people and businesses to both BE and achieve the extraordinary. ``Leadership is about making an impact,`` Ilana believes, ``and at Werq, we’re committed to being a meaningful partner in elevating what is possible for those who say “yes” to the call to lead - and therefor positively impacting the myriad teams, communities, and causes that these leaders influence.” Beyond her role at Werq, Ilana is a celebrated keynote speaker, has a background as an LCSW (think - the science of human behavior and change at scale), serves as a non-profit Board Director, and (her most cherished role) is a loving mother to two young children.
Gavin Pommernelle
President
With over 25 years in global talent leadership, Gavin specializes in elevating executive and team performance across healthcare, technology, and marketing sectors. His expertise spans talent consulting, strategic change management, and organizational design, informed by roles as CHRO at Synovate and Harte Hanks Inc., and HR leadership at Pentland Brands PLC. Gavin holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University.

Steve Hicks brings over 25 years of experience in creating, managing, and scaling businesses across diverse sectors. His journey from the media and broadcasting industry to taking mulitple companies public to becoming a mentor for emerging entrepreneurs reflects his belief in the power of strategic vision and execution. ``Building businesses is about building people,`` says Steve, highlighting his commitment to nurturing leadership that can navigate the complexities of today's business world.
