Q: What led you to Werq?
A: I began my career working in admin and ops in the commercial real estate industry in my hometown of Los Angeles. In 2011, I had the opportunity to press pause on corporate life to tour North America as a performer in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s first Broadway musical, In the Heights. The success of Heights, motivated a move to the East coast where, in addition to my acting career, I was the Director of Operations for a performing arts training program in suburban New Jersey. In this role, I was able to develop my leadership and project management skills while overseeing day to day business operations and creating processes and procedures that improved efficacy and the bottom line.
In 2013, I read Simon Sinek’s book “Start With Why” on the recommendation of an acting teacher and my life was changed for the better. Finding my why not only altered the course of my artistic career but inspired a deep change within me that (eventually) led me to Werq.
Werq was just a few months old when I connected with Ilana and my parallel career as an actor was continuing to thrive so the part-time nature of our work together was a perfect fit for me. As the company continued to flourish, I transitioned to a direct hire and moved out of the Executive Assistant role and into full-time operations management.
Q: What are you excited about in your new role?
A: Werq affects meaningful change within leaders and organizations. It’s truly exciting to have this kind of impact on people’s everyday lives. I am thrilled to take on this leadership role to continue to support and grow this transformative work from the inside out.
Q: What has your experience at Werq been like?
A: The most memorable, sometimes challenging, always rewarding experiences have come as a result of practicing what we preach: aligning our own team, processes, and strategies so that we can continue to thrive.
Q: What is one thing you want others to know about Werq?
A: Our core values of discovery, candor, collaboration, and success aren’t just website fluff. As a team, we werq (I had to do it) hard every day to uphold these ideals not only within our immediate team and clients, but in our personal lives as well.

Q: What do you like to do when you’re not Werq-ing?
A: I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, and our Shih Tzu, Bette Davis. I also have a passion (much to my family’s chagrin because they almost always get sucked into them) for DIY home projects and interior design.
